Re-Discovering
When did life turn haphazard? Or was it always like this? Or do I overanalyze now?
Digging deep into my past, as far as I can recall, I always loved to draw and paint. Books and colours were my best friends, also not neglecting the natural inclination towards music.
This pandemic has thrown light on many neglected aspects of our life. Although I had stopped to paint or draw since years (maybe I was 15 or so), I recently bought a new drawing book, some colours, art supplies(like painting brushes, sketching pencils etc) and gave myself a chance again.
A second chance, a chance for peace and finding myself. Life had turned mundane and monotonous, thanks to the pandemic. Or, should I say it always was but I never had time to sit and speculate on it. I would find(or try to find) joy in a materialistic world (like new makeup, some new thing I bought from someplace no least importance now).
Today, I am on a self-discovery journey. I do what makes me happy internally and profoundly, not on the surface level. So, I, again, have inaugurated reading in my schedule. I want to read a lot, about diverse topics spread throughout the plenitude of this universe, to read about human minds, philosophy, diverse topics of human nature, fiction, non-fiction, biographies and the list is endless.
Coming back to painting, I have started to paint!
Well, it’s Christmas season, and nothing feels better than hand-painted postcards mailed to friends close to our hearts. Sharing some cards here.
